Grading Information
This year we are participating in Granite School District's Proficiency Based grading system (PBG).
This means that your child will be graded based on his or her mastery of EACH common core standard for math and language arts (reading comprehension, grammar, and vocabulary).
Your child will be given a minimum of 3 assessments in each standard AFTER we have learned and practiced the skill. A score of 1-4 will be given for each assessment.
1= below
2= approaching mastery
3= mastery
4= above mastery
It is important to remember that a 3 is an EXCELLENT score and a 4 will be well above and beyond the mastery for that standard.
If you have any questions, please reach out to me. More information on PBG to come!
